Schisandra Tincture

Schisandra is an adaptogenic berry used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) primarily to help the body manage stress and reduce cortisol levels. It is also recognized for its ability to support liver health (by promoting detoxification and protecting against oxidative stress), enhance mental clarity, focus and physical endurance.

Schisandra herbal tincture > containting dried schisandra , alcohol and water (30% ABV 1:3 ratio) 

Herbal preparation : 

• Take up to 4ml, 2-3 times per day, in water or natural juices
• Place prescribed dosage under the tongue and hold for 30 seconds
• As prescribed (for persons under medical counsel)

Cautions and Contraindications

• Contraindicated during pregnancy (due to potential uterine stimulation and miscarriage risk) and nursing
• Unsafe for persons with epilepsy, peptic ulcers, GERD, or high intracranial pressure, as it may exacerbate these conditions by increasing stomach acid or stimulating the central nervous system.
• Additionally, Schisandra should be avoided in cases of excess heat, exterior pathogens (such as colds or flu), or the early stages of rashes.
• Contraindicated with pharmaceutical drugs eg. flibanserin, sirolimus, and tacrolimus, and requires caution with a wide range of other prescriptions including warfarin and codeine.

All alcohol free tinctures are made using using finest earth medicine, distilled water, and food grade glycerin. Please note glycerite extracts may not be as potent as alcohol extracts and therefore may require higher dosages. Glycerine-based tinctures, also known as glycerites, can last between 14 to 24 months if stored properly.
